Jim Harriss

Jim is OMG's USAPA Pickleball Ambassador, representing Madison County, Illinois. Born and raised in Illinois, Jim and his wife Linda learned the game of pickleball on a winter trip to Arizona in 2011. They came home and taught the game to their friends the following summer, and the OMG Pickleball Club was born. In the summer of 2013, Jim joined the USAPA and became the Ambassador for central Madison County.

The USA Pickleball Association (USAPA) was organized to promote the growth and development of pickleball, on both a national and international level.

To assist in this endeavor, the USAPA has recruited USAPA Ambassadors. Ambassadors are volunteers who have pledged to promote the sport of pickleball and the USAPA in the local area they have applied to represent. They may be individuals or couples, or a group of ambassadors working together as a team. The main prerequisite is a love of the sport and the desire to share our game with others of all ages.

The USAPA has organized the United States into 11 distinct regions as shown to the right. Illinois is in the Middle States region.
